Senior captain and middle linebacker, Ky Creek, has made an unexpected return to football this season following a tough battle with a shoulder injury. About his return, Creek said “I missed the sport and playing with friends. I wanted to have fun on this last run for senior year.” In the second game of non-district play, Creek recovered an onside kick to give Ferris the offensive possession. After the play, Creek said he was just “excited to get to the sidelines and celebrate with [his] brothers.” As a captain for his senior season, Creek acknowledged the impact of his leadership role and “tries to be a leader since [they’re] a young team… and teach them to be coachable and to be good athletes on and off the field.” He did so, he said, “to leave a good influence on the classes when [he] leaves.”
