FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than Books (October 10, 2024)
For our youngest readers, the magic of storytelling comes to life during our Wednesday morning story time sessions. These interactive sessions transport children into worlds filled with talking animals, brave heroes, and delightful surprises. We also incorporate a craft or game to go along with the story. It is our hope that this experience ignites imaginations and fosters a lifelong love of books.

THIS DAY IN HISTORY: Oct. 10, 1846, Triton, the biggest moon of Neptune, was discovered. Triton is the largest natural satellite of the planet Neptune, and the first Neptunian moon to be discovered. The discovery was made on Oct. 10, 1846, by English astronomer William Lassell. It is the only large moon in the Solar System with a retrograde orbit, an orbit in the direction opposite to its planet’s rotation. At 2,710 km in diameter, it is the seventh-largest moon in the Solar System.
