Ellis County DPS Trooper charged with official oppression and criminal trespass
ELLIS COUNTY – Ellis County Department of Public Safety State Trooper, Jacob Joseph McKeon, 34, from Seven Points was charged with official oppression and criminal trespass in Henderson County last week.
The incident in question took place on Dec, 1, around 3:15 a.m. A report stated McKeon allegedly forced himself into a home in East Texas.
The witness at the scene said McKeon, wearing a grey hoodie, showed his badge and, according to the affidavit, “pushed his way into the home, entered a bedroom, and woke up the homeowners stating. ‘Wake up. I’m the law, and you’re going to jail.’”
The mother in the home reported she found McKeon, who she did not know, standing in her bedroom. She said she asked him to leave but he refused and kept shouting.
A Henderson County deputy was dispatched on a burglary call.
McKeon was arrested and booked into the Henderson County Jail at that time, but was released the same day after posting a $60,000 bond.
