OBITUARY: Linda McLary Myer
The family and friends of Linda McLary Myer are saddened to announce of her passing in Dallas, Texas, on Dec. 3, 2024 at the age of 81.
She lived life richly in service and kindness.
Born on March 14, 1943 in Pendleton, Indiana, the daughter Taylor and LaVera McLary.
She was a 1965 Graduate of Ball State University – B.S. Business Education and in 1976 M.Ed. in Education and Supervision, and received a Paralegal Certification in 2000.
Her occupations included: High School Business Teacher, Fairfield Ohio; Vocational Business Instructor, Lebanon Ohio; University Professor, Cincinnati Ohio; Executive Assistant/Legal Asstistant Mobil Exploration, Midland Texas; and Paralegal-Greyhound Lines, Dallas Texas.
She retired in 2010.
Linda enjoyed collecting Tom Clark Gnomes, antique crystal, Lowell Davis RFD, cookbooks and wildlife landscape art. Entertaining and cooking for family and friends, genealogy, Music and Theaters, NASCAR and patio gardening.
She especially loved taking care of her backyard birds, neighborhood cats and kittens, raccoons and even the occasional opossum.
Loves of Linda’s life included spending time with family, her adopted family, close friends, and her beautiful loving companion, her cat Cayenne.
She is survived by her cousin Miriam; two stepdaughters, Tina and Sue; and two stepsons, Dan and Chris.
