DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE: Make sure you check your ballot before putting it in the box

The real threat to our democracy lies in misinformation

THE NOV. 5 COUNTDOWN

Before I jump into it, let me repeat a statement I saw belonging to Bertrand Russell: “First they fascinate the fools. Then they muzzle the intelligent.”

If this offends you, ask yourself why.

I would be remiss not to first shoutout regarding these true Americans not playing small in North Carolina.

Coal miners from West Virginia dubbed the “West Virginia Boys” accomplished a job in three days to reopen a 2.7-mile stretch of highway between Bat Cave and Chimney Rock washed away by Helene that officials said could take up to a year.

The difference between paid government employees and true American volunteerism: nypost.com/2024/10/27/us-news/west-va-boys-build-road-so-helene-victims-can-go-home.

As a reminder as you go to vote; the United States is a constitutional Republic, not a Democracy. The idea of a democracy is universal equality – the idea of a constitutional republic is individual liberty.

A reader asked who’s endorsing what? The New York Post endorsing Trump, the New York Times for Kamala.

The Washington Post and Los Angeles Times are  endorsing neither: thehill.com/homenews/4955558-major-newspapers-endorsed-trump-harri.

I was looking for the good and bad on “him” and “her” and found mainly Trump as usual is a “felon.”

While digging I also discovered Kamala’s hubby had an affair with the nanny, that was new. Then I found a Judge Joe Brown interview – whew: www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/family/judge-joe-brown-s-unhinged-rant-aimed-at-vp-kamala-harris-goes-viral/ar-AA1sIQl9.

It’s amazing how the media can make people look like angels even if they’re devils and make a perfectly sane person look unhinged. Somewhere along the way I’m sure I read something about that having to do with propaganda.

Speaking of propaganda, Karl Marx said, “Accuse your enemy of what you are doing as you are doing it to create confusion.”

I have been hearing blue people stating red people plan to militarize the government.

I’m shaking my head because the only militarization of the government I know of was on Sept. 27, under the current administration when the DOD signed the directive stating, “military force can be authorized on home soil for legal force against private citizens.”

I found an NBC reporter asking Kamala (boy was she looking with contempt at that reporter) a profound question as to her being on the ballot because Joe Joe dropped out.

The reporter mentioned Kamala defended Biden for another four years and asked was she honest with the American people in doing that due to his health.

The answer was, “Joe Biden is an extremely accomplished, experienced and capable in every way… it was a bad debate, people have bad debates.”

The reporter said, “That’s the reason you are here and he is not on the ticket” (i.e., at the debate he couldn’t put a sentence together). Kamala said, “You would have to ask him if that is the only reason why?”

Huh?

So, if Kamala thinks he is competent and she knows she did not win the primary, and she knows Joe Joe was ousted and her installed – what is really going on?

One voter said, “Unless you voted for Kamala in the primaries, please refrain from calling Trump a threat to democracy.” Oh right, no one voted for her in the primaries – there was not one.

I did some digging regarding the voter fraud discussion.

In Texas there have been a few voters who said they voted one way and the other candidate was marked as their choice –  election folks called it voter error.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson claimed thousands of illegals are on the voter rolls of Pennsylvania and Georgia.

The Daily Wire.com reported Michigan voter’s rolls list 8.4 million voters – yet there are fewer than eight-million voting age residents in Michigan (www.bridgemi.com/michigan-government/michigan-elections-faq-more-registered-voters-eligible-voters).

According to people in Tennessee, voting machine malfunctions were happening at polling places, and lawmakers confirmed they had received calls from Shelby County voters.

Virginia’s Lt. Governor took issue with a judge’s ruling to allow noncitizens to remain on the State’s voter rolls (www.msnbc.com/top-stories/latest/virginia-voter-purge-noncitizen-justice-department-lawsuit-rcna175155). It had something to do with it being 90 days before the election.

If voter registration is not over until roughly 30 days before the election, and if I were an illegal registering – that means since I registered after the 90-day cutoff the state would automatically have to keep me on the voter roller.

Make that make sense?

My friend voted in New York State last week and said when he pulled out his ID to verify who he was they said they did not need it. How did they know he was who he said he was?

In Maricopa County, Arizona election trainers admitted poll workers cannot stop third party ballot harvesting: “It’s not our job to police that.”

The Attorney General of Texas and the Secretary of State of the State of Texas are suing Alejandro Mayorkas as Secretary and the Department of Homeland Security among others saying non-US folks can’t vote, but they can register.

More than 450,000 people in Texas have apparently registered to vote whose citizenship is not verified – Civil Action No. 4:24-CV-49 if you want to fact check me.

Lancaster County, Pennsylvania is back in the news: (www.cbsnews.com/philadelphia/news/lancaster-county-voter-registration-fraud). Ray D’Agostino, Vice Chair of the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners/Chair of the Lancaster County Board of Elections confirmed as many as 2,500 fraudulent voter registration forms are being investigated for a variety of reasons and were delivered by individuals in two separate batches.

There are more than one-million registered voters in the 25 storm-ravaged counties in NC dealing with special voting rules following the disaster – wonder how that circus will go?

We are supposed to be a superpower here in the USA with nuclear capability folks, yet we cannot figure out how to allow voters to vote without issue!

Regarding Trump being called Hitler by Kamala, apparently there is some question about her doing that in front of the VP seal and legalities pertaining to the Hatch Act. I’m sure her fans will have a remark as to why it was okay – and I do not plan to argue. I’ll say it’s a slippery slope on either side when in desperation you begin to call people such names.

The legacy media folks are digging around now too asking questions about Russia and fake social media posts.

Apparently, Joe Joe signed an executive order that would allow him to claim “foreign interference” as a reason to block Trump from claiming victory (www.newstarget.com/2024-10-18-biden-eo-allows-democrats-block-trump-win.html) so we’ll see how that goes (www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/10/15/2024-election-overturned-possibility/75354573007).

A very slippery slope we are descending into in America. And, while foreign interference is not okay, blatant lies are fine by candidates.

Candace Owens – yes, the media has painted an ugly picture of her, I watched the interviews myself where there was an older lady in the Caribbean stating the black woman Kamala was passing off as her grandmother was not her grandmother.

And then there was the story of the entire book she said she wrote before taking the California AG spot and that it was plagiarized from Wikipedia.

I could not find anything about it on mainstream media either. Of course not, but before calling me a liar get off your couch and do your research.

Personally, due to my love for India I was so proud when she was the first Indian woman to win a senator seat in California (www.businessinsider.com/californias-kamala-harris-becomes-first-indian-american-us-senator-2016-11) and better read this before it gets scrubbed: (www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/article124327739.html).

I guess, Indians stopped trending.

This article is worth a read: (www.knowledge.insead.edu/leadership-organisations/fighting-against-dicta...) about how dictatorships happen; centralizing mainstream media, propaganda machines, and during elections manipulate the final outcome by curtailing press freedom, limiting the opposition’s ability to campaign and spreading misinformation.

Covering up a lie is a dirty job, and I’ve noticed many blue people seem to be marching to the beat of the red drum – increasingly every day.

I personally do not need a hero. Many people do. I will say I do NOT believe Trump would have become the movement he is today on the red team if the blue team had not been so blatantly obvious and mismanaged.

Just make sure you check your ballot before putting it in the box when you vote!
